Tamilisai Soundararajan, the head of the Tamil Nadu BJP, has put an end to all the rumors that surfaced when a video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah pointing fingers at her and appearing to be speaking seriously became popular on social media. The previous governor of Telangana referred to the rumors as “unwarranted” and emphasized that the Home Minister was the only one giving her advice. The brief conversation between the two politicians was recorded while Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, taking his oath. As Soundararajan waves to Amit Shah as she passes him, the Union Minister gives her a call back and engages in what appears to be a serious conversation. Social media was buzzing with discussion on the nature of their talk as a result, and several leaders started criticizing the saffron party in light of their conclusions.
Soundararajan clarified the situation by saying that the Union Minister had misinterpreted and that he was only encouraging her to perform her political duty to the fullest extent possible. “Our Honorable Home Minister Sri Amit Shah ji phoned me yesterday to inquire about the difficulties encountered and the post-election follow-up since I was seeing him for the first time in Andhra Pradesh following the 2024 Elections. He was quite concerned and gave me reassuring counsel to work hard on the political and constituency work while I was lobbying because of my limited time. This is to dispel any unfounded rumors that have been floating about,” Soundararajan wrote on X. When I first saw our Honorable Home Minister Sri @AmitShah ji in the AP yesterday, following the 2024 Elections, he called to inquire about the difficulties encountered and the post-election follow-up.
Many assumed that she was receiving criticism from Amit Shah for her comments
Leaders of the DMK attacked the BJP in response to the video, criticizing Amit Shah’s seeming actions. Dayanidhi Maran, the leader of the DMK and a former Union minister, criticized Amit Shah for the video earlier today, describing it as “unfortunate” and “unwelcome.” It’s really regrettable. She served as Puducherry’s and Telangana’s governor. We are unhappy. Will the Home Minister treat External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman similarly? Can Tamilsai be treated in any way only because she is from Tamil Nadu? This is unwanted “stated the former Union Minister.
Saravanan Annadurai, a DMK spokesman, described it as a “very wrong example”. “This is what kind of politics? Is it OK to criticize a well-known Tamil Nadu politician in public? Amit Shah ought to be aware that this would be seen by all. Quite the incorrect example!” he wrote on X.
“One of the best examples of needless politics and preventable manipulations in Maharashtra”
However, senior NCP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Praful Patel stated that the piece shouldn’t be interpreted as an indication that things aren’t going well between the two allies. “A weekly piece does not accurately represent the position of the BJP. That is not how it should be understood,” he stated. while NCP youth wing head Sooraj Chavan retaliated, claiming that when the BJP does well, the RSS is credited for their hard work, while Ajit Pawar is held accountable for losses. BJP leader Pravin Darekar retaliated by saying, “To all of us, the RSS is like a father figure.” Regarding the RSS, comments are not required. It was not wise for Sooraj Chavan to respond to the organization so quickly. The NCP has not received any criticism from the BJP. It would be preferable if these topics were covered at NDA sessions.” As the NCP objected to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nomination for a Minister of State position in the incoming administration, tensions between the two parties began to show. Both Praful Patel and Ajit Pawar declined the offer of a cabinet position, but they both stated that they would like one.

Additionally, it lost the prestige struggle in Baramati, where the current MP from the opposing NCP party and his cousin, Supriya Sule, defeated Ajit Pawar’s wife, Sunetra Pawar. According to the Indo-Asian News Service, which cited anonymous sources, the BJP is debating whether or not to keep its partnership with Ajit Pawar after the results. “The purpose of these surveys is to determine how the party can secure the simple majority for itself. Furthermore, the surveys will predict the performance of the BJP in a coalition with the Shiv Sena, led by Eknath Shinde. Additionally, it will assess public opinion regarding whether to maintain its alliance with the NCP, a BJP source told IANS. The BJP’s Lok Sabha vote total of 240 was much below than its 2019 total of 303 and the 282 seats it won in 2014. In contrast, the Congress saw a significant increase, gaining 99 seats as opposed to 52 in 2019 and 44 in 2014. The Indian bloc exceeded the 230 threshold, presenting strong opposition and surpassing all projections from exit surveys.
